Hinchliffe Mill Junior & Infant School

Headteacher's Welcome

It is with great pleasure to welcome you to Hinchliffe Mill Junior & Infant School on the border of the beautiful Peak District National Park and in the 'Summer Wine' country.

We are proud to be at the heart of a community that is passionate about educating young people. Hinchliffe Mill strives to provide the best opportunities to support the development of every child from four to eleven and promotes learning for everyone for life. We believe in forming strong partnerships with our community and providing an excellent service to enable every family and young person with the greatest opportunity to improve their life chances. We welcome your cooperation in providing your child with every advantage for development within school and value parental support. Positive relationships are the key to success.

Our school values encompass what we believe our children should foster during their time with us to become well-rounded citizens in our community and the wider world. We cultivate our children to be honest, communicate clearly, respectful, have confidence, embrace responsibility, support one another and be resilient in all that they do for their future. We aim to provide first quality learning and teaching experiences for your child to ensure they are equipped with the vital skills, knowledge and understanding to live in a forever changing world. Our curriculum drivers enhance our young peoples experiences beyond our ambitious National Curriculum. We believe that our children benefit from the involvement within the community, gaining diverse experiences and have a sense of understanding sustainability. We hope your child will be happy, safe, achieve and enjoy the time they are with us at Hinchliffe Mill.

I feel privileged to be the Executive Headteacher of Hinchliffe Mill Junior & Infant School and be entrusted with your children. The hardworking and dedicated team at Hinchliffe Mill are committed to ensuring your child receives the best all-around education possible.

Our children really do learn beyond the classroom - come and have a look round our wonderful school and see for yourself!
