About the PTA

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a group of parents and teachers from Hinchliffe Mill Junior & Infant School. Our aim is to fundraise to help improve our children’s experience at school.

Next meeting

The next PTA meetings will be held at the Bridge Holmbridge on September 12th 2017, both 7.30pm start for the AGM, please come and join us!

We are always looking for volunteers to assist with events throughout the year. Its possible to get involved many ways, any contribution of time are always valued and appreciated. There are various ways you can support us, why not help at a stall, kindly donate some home-baking, offer face-painting or assist with the set up and clear up at an event, take a turn by serving parents and pupils or simply share some fundraising ideas….just bring some enthusiasm and enjoy being part of the team!

  • AGM - September 12th

What’s been happening?

What have we raised and where is it going?

  • Money raised since the start of the school year includes: -
    • £79.00 from the Treasure Hunt
    • £191.44 from the Halloween Disco
    • £52.80 from Bags 2 School
    • A whopping £2083.94 from the Christmas Fayre
    • £186.90 from the Halloween Disco
  • The school’s trip to the pantomime at Christmas was a great success and enjoyed by pupils and teachers alike

What do we want?

How you can help us raise more?

Jam Jars. We need jam jars both filled and empty for both the Summer and Christmas Fayres. Please don’t throw away your jars, bring them to us.

Raffle and tombola prizes. We will need donations for raffle and tombola prizes for both the Summer and Christmas Fayres. Please don’t take your unwanted gifts to the charity shop, save them for the school instead

Ideas. We are always trying to think of new, interesting and fun ways to raise money for the school. Please do let us know if you have any. Come along to one of our meetings or just grab one of us in the playground.

Old Clothes. Not only do we need you to hang onto your old clothes, shoes and belts to fill our "Bags 2 School" bags but Mrs McCormick has also requested that if you have any clothes suitable for dressing up could Cherry Class please have them for role play.

Jigsaws. Mrs McCormick has also requested that if anyone has any jigsaws they are no longer using could Cherry Class please have them too?
